Episode 1: 8AM-9AM
Jack Bauer, in the midst of a Senate Hearing to face charges for violating the Geneva Convention, is subpoenaed by the FBI to help their investigation of a new terrorist threat. FBI Agent Renee Walker reveals that the leader of the domestic terrorist cell responsible is none other than Tony Almeida, who has been presumed dead for the last 4 years. Walker explains that Tony’s crew has stolen a device known as the “CIP Override” which will allow them to breach the country’s technological infrastructure Firewall. Though skeptical at first, Jack eventually agrees to assist the FBI in apprehending Tony, much to the chagrin of Walker’s boss Larry Moss. Meanwhile, Tony’s crew, who is operating out of a boat docked at a marina, has kidnapped the engineer responsible for designing the Firewall and coerced him into helping them get the CIP Override operational. Once it is, they get busy hacking into the FAA’s network and taking command control of two aircrafts. By this time, Jack has linked a confidential informant that once worked with he and Tony during their days at CTU named Gabriel Schector to Tony’s current crew, and he and Walker head over to Schector’s office to question him. Before Schector can talk, he is assassinated by a sniper. Just as the chaos is ramping up, the phone rings. It’s Tony, who warns Jack to stay away from the investigation.
Golden Almeida Dialogue
Masters: We’re really taking this all the way …
Tony: You just need to do exactly what I tell you to do.
Episode 2: 9AM-10AM
Air Traffic Control realizes their system has been hijacked. Jack, Walker and her backup teams pursue the sniper, hoping to capture him and get a lead on Tony’s location. They narrow the search to a building across the street from Schector’s office, but when the shooter slips through the FBI’s perimeter, Jack realizes someone on Walker’s team is working for Tony’s group. Tony, meanwhile, directs two hijacked planes to a near-miss on the runway at JFK International, then contacts Air Traffic Control, informing them the incident was a “demonstration” of their capabilities, but next time will be the real thing. Tony’s boss, Emerson, shows up and takes the CIP Device off-site. By this point, Walker and Jack have tailed Alan Tanner, the shooter, to the marina, where they ambush him. They storm the boat, killing several of Tony’s minions in the process. When they get inside, they find the place deserted and all of the data on Tony’s computer deleted. Jack is checking to see if the boat is clear when Tony busts out of the pilot room and flees. Jack gives chase and eventually catches Tony, which results in the Jack/Tony rumble to end all Jack/Tony rumbles. Despite a valiant effort on Almeida’s part, Jack overpowers him. Just then, Moss swoops in with an FBI chopper and they take Tony into custody, with Jack wondering aloud what the hell happened to his brother in arms.
Golden Almeida Moment
Tony flees from the boat with Jack in hot pursuit. Jack screams out “TONY!!!” and Tony turns back for just a second, giving Jack a dark, vaucous stare, before jumping off the side of the boat to low ground. Jack follows and jumps Tony. During the struggle, both men lose their guns, and engage in a hand-to-hand combat battle rife with plenty of punching and kicking that has fans of the Brotherhood jumping out of their seats and cheering with excitement.
Episode 3: 10AM-11AM
Jack, Walker and Moss bring Tony back to the FBI, where Jack convinces Moss to let him interrogate Tony. During the interrogation, Tony talks of how the government is poisoned from the inside and antagonizes Jack to draw a physical response by bringing up Kim, Audrey and Teri. Jack attacks Tony and when he gets close enough that Walker and Moss, who are observing, can’t hear what he’s saying, Tony whispers the words “DEEP SKY” into Jack’s ear. Moss and Walker bust into the room, but Jack already has the information he needs. He leaves the interrogation area and quickly dials the phone number that corresponds to the letters DEEPSKY. Turns out, it’s Bill Buchanan on the other end of the line. Bill informs Jack that Tony is working with Chloe and himself on a deep cover mission to expose corruption inside the Taylor Administration with ties to the Juma regime. He implores Jack to help Tony escape from FBI custody so that he can get back undercover. Jack agrees, and assaults Walker, Moss and several guards as he and Tony break for it and eventually flee to the parkade, eluding an army of FBI SWAT and making a daring escape. Bill meets them in the alley with the getaway vehicle and they all screech away to the triumphant strains of Callery’s score.
Golden Almeida Dialogue
Tony: You’re askin’ me why I’m doin’ this. I could ask you the same question. Here you are working for the same people who wanna put you in prison. The same people who killed everything you love and left you with nothing. Your daughter wants nothing to do with you, Teri’s dead …
Jack: Shut up.
Tony: Audrey Raines …
Jack: I SAID SHUT UP!!!
Tony: NO, JACK, NO!!! YOU NEED TO HEAR THIS!!! YOU NEED TO START LIVING IN THE REAL WORLD!!! Because every second you help the government, you’re spittin’ on Teri’s grave!!!!
Episode 4: 11AM-12PM
Tony, Jack and Bill arrive back at Bill and Chloe’s base of operations, and Jack, understandably, wants answers. Tony explains how he was extracted from CTU and revived after Henderson attacked him by David Emerson, who is the boss of his crew and his link to Juma’s people, and recruited to join a group of mercenaries with grievances against the Federal Government. Bill picks up and tells Jack how Tony approached him with evidence of a deep conspiracy inside Taylor’s administration to aid the Juma regime, and that unless they stay completely off the government’s grid, they will never be able to expose it. Jack realizes that if he joins their efforts, he can deflect suspicion that Tony made a deal and turned against Emerson, which will allow Tony to maintain his cover. Jack agrees to join DEEPSKY. Tony calls Emerson and suggests they bring Bauer in on the operation. Emerson tells Tony to bring Jack with him. As they drive to Emerson’s safe house, Tony gives Jack some background on Emerson. When they arrive, Jack is dragged off by two of Emerson’s goons, while Emerson tells Tony he has decided not to go forward with Jack and that Tony must kill Jack to prove his loyalty. Meanwhile, Jack has figured out what Emerson is up to and takes one of his henchmen hostage at gunpoint, telling Emerson this proves he will be an asset to their crew. Emerson clearly agrees, and shoots his own henchman. Emerson then informs Jack and Tony that their next assignment is to kidnap the Sangalan Prime Minister Motobo. When they arrive at Motobo’s residence, however, they find he has locked himself in a panic room.
Golden Almeida Moment
After explaining to Jack how he was revived and recruited by David Emerson, Jack assumes that Tony was working undercover with Bill from the beginning, since the moment he joined Emerson’s crew. With his soulful brown eyes full of shame and pain, Tony confesses that for almost three years, he really was underground and working for Emerson, in an effort to get vengeance on the institution that facilitated Michelle’s murder and destroyed his life. At first, Jack is horrified and appalled, but one glimpse of the regret and self-loathing on Tony’s face is enough to convince Jack to forgive Tony and agree to help. THE BROTHERHOOD LIVES!!!!!
Episode 5: 12PM-1PM
Tony, Jack and Emerson, unable to open the panic room from the outside and having just learned the FBI are on their way, decide to gas the Motobos out by mixing up ammonium distrate using household cleaners they find in the kitchen. When he realizes what’s happening, Motobo is willing to die for his country, but wifey not so much. As she is about to pass out from the fumes, she pulls the lever to open the door. Tony, Jack and Emerson load the Motobos into an armoured van. Meanwhile, Walker has arrived on the scene after torturing the location out of Tanner. She has just enough time to alert Moss that Almeida and Bauer are there when Emerson’s henchman finds her. He takes her back to the van. Emerson wants to kill her on sight, but Tony and Jack convince him they need to find out from her how much Tanner told the FBI. Nichols, Emerson’s boss, calls as they are en route to the meeting place. He says his source inside the Bureau claims all Tanner gave Walker was the details about Motobo’s abduction and that she is “extraneous”. He orders Emerson to dispose of her. Emerson directs his crew to a deserted construction site and orders Jack to execute Walker. Jack only pretends to shoot Renee and the bullet grazes her neck. She plays along, falling over as if dead. Jack kicks her into the ditch and puts a piece of plastic tarping over her. When he gets back to the van, Emerson tells him to bury her body and orders Tony to help. When they start shoveling dirt on Renee, she opens her eyes and looks right at Tony, who does not alert Emerson. Walker realizes that Jack and Tony are working their own agenda.
Golden Almeida Moment
After Renee hears Emerson discussing getting rid of her with his boss, she gets very angry. She starts berating Jack disgustedly, asking him how much they are paying him and how he could betray his country this way. As her vitriol spews out of her mouth, Jack just sits there and takes it. Tony watches the scene with a little smirk on his face, as though he is mildly amused by Walker’s naivety but also feels kinda bad for Jack getting reamed out like that.
Episode 6: 1PM-2PM
En route to their rendez-vous with Nichols, Emerson reveals that Christopher Henderson was in on a plan to fake Tony’s death all along so they could capture him and use him as leverage against Jack. Tony, with great emotion, explains that he eventually chose to stay with Emerson’s group because he felt betrayed by what happened to Michelle. They arrive at an airport hangar, the meeting place. Emerson is already suspicious of Jack, and takes Jack hostage at gunpoint. A standoff ensues, which results in Tony shooting Emerson in the neck, wounding him badly. As Jack calls Bill and Chloe for help, and convinces the Motobos to go along with their sting operation against Nichols, Tony tends to Emerson’s wounds to no avail. Emerson dies, his last words telling Tony to go to hell and to live with what he’s done. Jack and Tony hide the bodies as Bill and Chloe arrive with Renee Walker (whom they dug up and resuscitated) to set up for the meet with Nichols. They wire Motobo with a tracking device in his tooth. Nichols and his goons arrive. Tony informs Nichols that he killed the rest of the crew because he wanted their cuts of the job’s payment for himself. Nichols seems to buy it, but once he has Motobo, he orders his henchman to kill Tony. Jack takes out the shooter and most of the rest of Nichols’ team from his sniper vantage point in the rafters while Tony does some sharp shooting of his own on the ground. Tony tells Nichols to take Motobo and get the hell out of his sight.
Golden Almeida Dialogue
Emerson: You actually think that I would let you steal those diamonds from me?
Tony: It’s not about the diamonds! It’s about killing innocent people. I can’t let ya finish this!
Jack: Take a shot.
Emerson: Put down the weapon, or I will kill him.
Jack: Tony, take the shot!
Tony: SHUT UP JACK!!!
Emerson: Put it down, Tony!
Tony: David, I don’t wanna kill you, but I will!
Episode 7: 2PM-3PM
DEEPSKY, with Walker in tow, tracks the Motobos to Dubaku’s base, located in an office building not far from the airport hangar. They send Renee in, where she uses her FBI credentials to bypass security and help Tony, Jack and Bill gain entry into the building through the rooftop door while Chloe waits in the van outside, running tech. When Nichols sees Bauer and Almeida on their surveillance feed from the roof, Dubaku panics and orders his team to abort and evacuate. DEEPSKY storms the room with explosives and machine guns, wasting all of Dubaku’s henchmen, while Walker takes down Nichols and rescues the Motobos, but Dubaku escapes by using Michael Latham, who is strapped with explosives, as a diversion. After Dubaku blows Latham up, DEEPSKY bails quickly, knowing the police are on their way. Back at their safehouse, DEEPSKY and Walker debate their next move. Jack and Chloe believe they are no longer capable of running the operation without help from outside resources, but Tony and Bill don’t trust the agencies because of the corruption. Motobo suggests going directly to President Taylor through him, and eventually Bill and Tony agree. Jack and Bill prepare to leave for the White House when Tony informs them he will not be joining them because he will be apprehended. Bill agrees that Tony can’t afford to be arrested at this point, and Tony says he has another lead on someone from Emerson’s crew with intel on the conspiracy he can pursue in the meantime. Jack reluctantly agrees to this plan, but warns Tony that when it’s all over, he expects him to turn himself in and face the consequences of his actions. Tony gives Jack his word that he will.
Golden Almeida Dialogue
Tony: I already told ya. I did some pretty bad things before I teamed up with Bill.
Jack: Tony, take it from me. You need to deal with the consequences.
Tony: And believe me, I will. But not yet, not ’til we get Dubaku. Look, I’m working on a lead. I’ve got a guy in Emerson’s crew who might have some intel that we can use.
Bill: Let him do this, Jack. He’s the reason we got this far.
Jack: Fine. But you give me your word, as soon as this is over, you turn yourself in. We’ll stand behind you.
Tony: Alright, you have my word.
[Tony offers Jack his hand for the Brotherhood Handshake of Solidarity. Jack accepts, and they shake.]
Jack: Good luck and be careful.

Alas, Tony does not appear in these episodes!
Episode 10: 5PM-6PM
After spending two exhausting hours tracking Ike Dubaku, Jack and Renee Walker finally apprehend him, and he agrees to give up the names of the government operatives on his payroll. Believing the crisis is over now that Dubaku is in custody and the dirty agents have been exposed, Jack takes a quiet moment to reflect while sitting on the steps of the Capitol Building. A moment later, Tony approaches and sits down beside Jack, a short distance away. Jack is surprised to see Tony and seems angry that Tony has not yet fulfilled his promise to turn himself in. Tony reveals that the contact from Emerson’s crew he’d been investigating for the last two hours, who had a direct line of communication with Juma’s people, informed him the terrorist threat is not yet over — Dubaku’s boss, General Juma, has another attack on Washington DC planned in the next hour. Jack suggests Tony turn his information over the the FBI, but Tony insists that by the time the FBI gets through all the red tape, it will be too late. Jack seems reluctant. Tony tells him that if he wants in on the operation, to meet him at a nearby street corner. Tony then gets up, dons the badass aviator sunglasses (YES!) and starts to leave. He pauses, standing behind Jack, and places a gentle hand on Jack’s shoulder. “I need your help,” he implores, before literally walking off into a breathtaking pink and orange sunset glowing behind the silhouette of the Washington Monument in the distance.
Golden Almeida Dialogue
Jack: You better not be lying to me, Tony.
Tony: This is real, Jack.
Jack: Burnett will be on Dubaku’s list. As soon as he finds out that Dubaku’s in custody, he’ll start running. You don’t have a lot of time.
Tony: I’ve already got a tail on him. Listen, Jack. If you’re with me, meet me at the corner of First and Constitution. [gets up and puts his hand on Jack's shoulder] I need your help.
Episode 11: 6PM-7PM
Tony and Jack, who has decided that he wants to be a part of taking down Burnett, arrive at the White House in Tony’s SUV. They park, and Tony tells Jack he thinks they should reconsider bringing Bill in on things, as he was a part of the operation from the beginning. Jack refuses, noting that if he has to torture Burnett to get the information they need, he doesn’t want to take Bill down with him if things go wrong. Tony offers to back Jack up instead, but Jack reminds Tony that he is a wanted felon and would never get past security, and that if he is unsuccessful, it may be up to Tony to stop the attack. Jack leaves for the White House while Tony waits in the car. Later, after Jack’s interrogation of Burnett is aborted under the President’s orders before he could break Burnett (who is still stonewalling despite an offer of immunity), Bill calls Tony to inform him that Jack has been arrested and is out of play. He questions Tony as to whether his contact who gave him the intel could still be a source of information. Tony tells Bill the contact is dead. Bill is frustrated that Jack and Tony didn’t bring him in sooner, and wonders angrily whether they at least have a backup plan. Tony tells Bill that immunity for Burnett was the backup, and they are pretty much screwed, but they were only trying to protect him by keeping him out of it.
Golden Almeida Dialogue
Bill: Who was your contact?
Tony: It was a guy in Emerson’s crew with a direct line to Juma.
Bill: Any chance we get another crack at this guy?
Tony: That’s highly unlikely, to say the least.
Bill: What are you telling me, he’s dead???
Tony: That’s right.
Bill: I wish to God you’d brought me in on this.
Tony: Jack didn’t wanna put you in that position. For what it’s worth, he was tryin’ to protect ya, Bill.
Episodes 12-13: 7PM-9PM

Episode 14: 9PM-10PM
After a nasty couple of hours chasing down information on the people aiding Juma during the attack on the White House, Jack is in a real bad way. Not only has he been framed for the murder of Ryan Burnett, but he also watched Senator Mayer get shot right in front of his eyes while the Senator was trying to help him figure out who was giving Juma their support. Turns out, the culprit is Starkwood, a defense contractor and private military corporation headed by the deliciously evil Jonas Hodges. To make matters worse, he knows the FBI will immediately suspect HIM of killing Mayer. The only good news is that he managed to take out Mayer’s killer, a Starkwood operative named John Quinn, in an epic hand-to-hand battle. After Quinn is dead, Jack finds information on Quinn’s PDA suggesting that a WMD is scheduled to arrive at the Port of Alexandria shipyard within the next fifteen minutes. As a fugitive with no one else left to turn to, Jack calls Tony, who has been enjoying a refreshing cup of coffee at a nearby cafe. He instructs Tony to get weapons and a surveillance package, and meet him there.
Golden Almeida Moment
Tony, who is enjoying a relaxing cup of coffee at a cafe near the White House while Bill is busy blowing himself up to save the President and Jack is getting framed for two murders, receives a frantic phone call from Jack. Jack asks him to get their weapons and their surveillance gear, and meet him at the Port of Alexandria shipyard. When Tony asks Jack to wait, presumably wanting more details, Jack tells Tony he can’t, and that he’ll call him from the road. Despite knowing nothing about what’s going on, Tony immediately sets off for the Port to get Jack’s back.
Episode 15: 10PM-11PM
Jack meets up with Tony at the Port of Alexandria shipyard to locate the exact position of Starkwood’s bioweapon before alerting the FBI. They determine there is only one guard on duty, and take him hostage. Unable to access the location of Starkwood’s shipping container on their computer system, they discover that the guard is being paid by Starkwood to give them access to the shipyard off the books. After they get this confirmation, Jack tries to call the FBI, but communications are being jammed. They realize they will have to follow the Starkwood truck out of the shipyard to figure out where it is headed. They coerce the guard into helping them, and wire him with surveillance equipment. The guard lets the team of Starkwood mercenaries through the gate, and they order him to accompany them to the container’s site. Jack is nervous for the guard because he gave his word to protect him, but Tony thinks they need to let him go and accept that he will inevitably become collateral damage. Jack and Tony make their way to where the mercenaries are preparing to load the container with the weapon onto a semi truck. When one of the goons takes the guard away, Jack knows they plan to kill him. Tony tries to convince Jack they need to let the guard die to maintain the integrity of the operation, but Jack is having none of it. He takes out the shooter, and the guard escapes with his life. Shortly thereafter, the Starkwood team discovers the body and realizes they’ve been compromised. Jack and Tony formulate a Plan B, involving hijacking the truck with the weapon. Tony covers while Jack approaches the site, a firefight ensues, and the weapon container is damaged in the process. Jack manages to take out the driver and steal the truck successfully, but Tony is not so lucky. He is surrounded by goons and forced to surrender. They knock him unconscious and throw him into their vehicle, while Jack flees with the cargo.
Golden Almeida Dialogue
Tony: Dammit, Jack, what the hell are you doin’? Don’t do it. You’re gonna turn a surveillance job into a firefight. It’ll be two against ten.
Jack: Two against nine.
Tony: Right. And we lose our best chance at getting this weapon. Don’t break your own rules. You may save one man, but what about the thousands of people who could die in a biological attack? Is this about you, Jack, or about them? You wanna prevent another disaster or ensure that it’s gonna happen?
Episode 16: 11PM-12AM
The Starkwood operatives arrive back at Starkwood’s Virginia compound with Tony and the bioweapon. Stokes and two other goons beat Tony up, but he refuses to give up any information. Hodges decides to try another tactic and offers Tony a deal … he gets to walk away with his life if he gives up whatever information he has on what the FBI knows about Starkwood’s operation. Tony denies knowing anything. Hodges tells his men to do whatever it takes to get him to talk. Shortly thereafter, Stokes gives Tony one last chance to tell them what he knows, but he remains silent. Just as Stokes is about to cap him, Seaton busts in and shoots Stokes in the back. He uncuffs Tony and asks for his help, saying Hodges has taken things too far and needs to be stopped. He says he knows where the weapons are. Tony agrees to contact the FBI and help negotiate an immunity agreement for Seaton. After the immunity deal goes through, Seaton gives up the location of the weapons. Larry mobilizes his teams and asks Tony to meet them on the ground. When the FBI arrives, Larry’s team and Tony storm the warehouse specified by Seaton to find it empty. Tony and Larry realize Seaton played them. But before they can initiate a larger search, Starkwood mercenaries show up, led by Stokes, who is clearly not dead after all. He says they will open fire if the FBI attempts to advance any further., and we realize that Seaton’s play was a set-up from the beginning.
Golden Almeida Dialogue
Seaton: Almeida was threatening to kill me, I told him what he wanted to hear.
Tony: [attacking Seaton] You lying son of a bitch, you came to me! Now where are the weapons? WHERE ARE THE DAMN WEAPONS???!!!???!!!
Episode 17: 12AM-1AM
The FBI is between a rock and a hard place when Hodges shows up and gives them five minutes to withdraw or face a hail of bullets. Jack discovers that Doug Knowles, Starkwood’s Chairman, was assisting Senator Mayer’s investigation against Starkwood. He and Walker suggest to Moss that he should create a diversion so Tony can slip away undetected to meet up with Knowles amd withdraw to throw Hodges off. Larry punches Seaton in the face and Tony sneaks away successfully. He meets up with Knowles, who leads him to the building where the weapons are, but Knowles’ entry card isn’t working. Janis hacks the entry system while Knowles distracts Starkwood security patrol. Once inside the building, Tony takes out two security officers and steals their clothes and weapons. He makes his way down to the lower level and enters the room with the weapons. Tony sends Jack and the FBI photos with his mobile device of the canisters, and Jack confirms they found the weapons. Tony notices that Hodges’ team is transferring the pathogen from the canisters to a delivery device and gets video capture of that as well. Jack confirms that the air strike will soon be imminent and for Tony to withdraw. Tony gets the hell out, having successfully completed his mission.
Golden Almeida Dialogue
Tony: Jack, Knowles’ keycard isn’t working. We’re gonna need electronic support here.
Janis: There should be an R6 Interface Module on the back of your comm device, it’s a card key …
Tony: [snottily] Yeah, I know what that is, thank you.
Episode 18: 1AM-2AM
When Jack informs Tony that President Taylor has aborted the air strike, Tony is confused until he spots a tanker truck full of RP-7 preparing to transfer fuel to an underground bunker on Starkwood’s base. He tells Jack that Starkwood must have surface-to-surface missiles loaded with the bioweapon ready for deployment if they are using RP-7. Jack and Tony hatch a plan to blow up the missles with three C-4 charges that Tony has stashed in his manbag. Tony takes Stokes hostage at gunpoint and makes Stokes take him inside the bunker. Tony lays the charges and heads back up to ground level, but before he can detonate them, Stokes’ henchman ambushes him from behind. A scuffle ensues, and the C-4’s detonator falls through a drainage grate. Tony manages to incapacitate Stokes and his flunkie, retrieve the detonator and blow up the missiles seconds before they launch. After the explosion, Larry and his men take control of Starkwood. Larry informs Tony regretfully that he has orders to take him into custody and back to FBI headquarters. Tony doesn’t argue. On their way back to the FBI by chopper, Walker informs Larry that a Starkwood operative killed two of their agents and escaped with a canister of the bioweapon in a stolen FBI vehicle. Janis uses GPS to track his location, and Larry has the chopper pilot pursue by air. Larry pins the operative down in an alley not far from Starkwood, and the pilot lands the chopper. The Starkwood operative, Galvez, open fires and kills the pilot, and a firefight between Galvez and Moss ensues. Galvez shoots Moss at point blank range with a shotgun, wounding him badly. Tony examines Larry’s wound and when Galvez approaches from behind, Larry warns Tony. Tony signals Galvez to lower his weapon. Moss’s eyes bug out in confusion. Tony then puts his hand over Moss’s mouth and nose, and asphyxiates him as the audience gasps in horror, then tells Galvez to take the weapon and find a safe place to hide while he stays behind to deal with the FBI. Huh?
Golden Almeida Quote
“I’m sorry, Larry.”
Episode 19: 2AM-3AM
In the aftermath of Larry’s murder, Tony shoots himself in the gut as the foundation for a cover story about being shot when Galvez ambushed the FBI chopper, then talks to Galvez on the phone, ordering him to lay low until he can get a read on the FBI’s tactical approach and guide him through the perimeter safely, hanging up and pretending to be unconscious just as the FBI arrives. After the medics treat and dress his wound, they offer him pain medication, which he refuses. After sneaking a peek at the FBI’s deployment grid, he instructs Galvez to head north and find a suitable building to rig with C4 and set a trap for the FBI. Much to Tony’s displeasure, Jack arrives on the scene with Walker. Tony feeds them a bunch of BS about how Galvez shot him and that Larry died saving his life, but Jack realizes that Tony’s story and the physical evidence at the scene don’t mesh. Jack posits that Galvez had an accomplice. Soon after, Jack begins to experience more symptoms of toxic infection and Tony observes him injecting himself with anti-seizure meds. They discuss the fact that Jack is dying. As Galvez fools the FBI into storming the rigged building by posing as an agent over comm, Jack realizes that it’s a trap and orders the agents to retreat, but it is too late. Galvez blows the building. Tony and Jack head over to the explosion site and Tony meets Galvez, dressed as an agent, inside. Galvez smears blood on his face and plays hurt as Tony carries him out. By this point, Jack and Renee have concluded that Galvez needed inside help to set the trap and Jack realizes his accomplice is Tony. Jack chases after Tony and confronts him, pulling his gun on Tony. He questions Tony about the lies he told about killing Cardiff and being shot. Tony tries in vain to convince Jack this his illness is making him paranoid and impairing his judgment. Jack begins seizing and falls to the ground. Tony steals Jack’s gun and taunts Jack with his med pack, which Tony has stolen. Tony explains that he never wanted Jack to get hurt, but Jack just wouldn’t leave well enough alone. Tony alerts the on site medics that Jack needs their help, then coldly turns his back on his brother and disappears into the darkness.
Golden Almeida Quote
“I never wanted to hurt you, Jack. I told you to stay out of it. But you wouldn’t listen, would ya?”
Episode 20: 3AM-4AM
In the chaotic aftermath of the explosion, Tony manages to escape the FBI’s perimeter by gunning down two agents, swiping their SUV and destroying its GPS module. He heads to a motel a short distance away, where Galvez is waiting with the canister. Galvez, being a greedy mofo, tries to double cross Tony so he can get paid twice, but Tony isn’t playing that game. He and Galvez fight, and Tony easily emerges victorious, having suffocated Galvez with the motel bathroom’s shower curtain. Fake Lawyer shows up shortly thereafter, presuming that she and Tony will deliver the canister to her employers, but Tony has other ideas. He pushes for her to convince her bosses they should move forward with an attack immediately, as Hodges pushed the country to the brink and left the government stretched thin. Fake Lawyer agrees, and convenes the mysterious and anonymous syndicate she works for via teleconference. Positions are debated, but in the end The Group votes to move forward with an attack during morning rush hour. The plan is to frame an innocent who could be painted as a terrorist sympathizer by planting fake evidence against him in the FBI’s computer system. Tony and Fake Lawyer meet up with some minions at the man’s residence and stage an ambush. They take their target and his younger brother hostage at gunpoint, and Tony warns them that if they don’t cooperate with him, he’ll shoot them in the head.
Golden Almeida Dialogue
Fake Lawyer: [caressing Tony's face] I don’t disagree with you. But it’s not our decision to make.
Tony: Fine. Then run it by your group or your gang or whatever the hell they are. But they’ll know one thing. You finish your enemy off when he’s down, you don’t let him get back up and reload. I guarantee you, this thing’s gonna be a hell of a lot harder to pull off six months from now. And you can say what you want about Jonas Hodges … the fact is, he gave us an opportunity today. Let’s take it.
Episode 21: 4AM-5AM
Having taken the Al-Zarian brothers hostage, Tony, Fake Lawyer and their crew go about setting him up as the patsy for the bioattack on the subway. While Fake Lawyer plants fabricated terrorist website visits and bank transactions on Jibraan’s computer, Tony does his part to convince a blubbering Jibraan that the only way he can save his brother’s life is by doing everything they tell him to do — starting with reading a pre-written statement on camera that indicates terrorist sympathies and a desire to see America suffer. While they are recording the video, some cops show up in response to a “noise complaint” lodged by the neighbours, but Jibraan makes up a story about drunk friends at Tony’s behest and they leave. Recording resumes. Afterwards, Jibraan questions Tony as to how he can be sure Tony won’t kill his brother anyway. Tony explains they need his brother to help convince the police he really was the terrorist responsible for the attack and back up the fabricated evidence. Tony’s henchman brings Jibraan’s brother back to consciousness and Jibraan does his best to persuade him that he is a militant and wants to hurt America. After that, Tony orders one of his henchman to stay behind and guard the brother while the rest of them pack up and get set to move on the subway.
Golden Almeida Dialogue
Al-Zarian: No, this is insane, I can’t read this, I’m not going to do this.
Tony: OK, see, that sounds to me like you think you have a choice.
Episode 22: 5AM-6AM
Tony drops Jibraan off at a Metro station and instructs him to take the Red Line westbound to Washington Center Station. He fits him with an earpiece/tracking device and reminds him again that his brother’s life is on the line. Jibraan obeys, but attempts to intervene in the station, alerting a transit cop that terrorists are controlling him, but the transit cop turns out to be one of Tony’s men. Tony tells Jibraan he’ll let this one slide, but not to do it again. Jibraan gets on the train, where Fake Lawyer plants the canister shortly thereafter. By this point, Janis and Chloe have tracked Tony’s cell phone signal through a call placed to Tony by an operative of his that Jack has in custody. Jack and Renee intercept Tony by forcing him into a car accident and arrest him, but not before he destroys his handheld full of intel. Jack tries to beat information about the location of the canister out of him, but Tony only accepts the beating apathetically, and remains silent when Jack asks why he betrayed him. Jack then pulls his gun on Tony and threatens to kill him, saying he has nothing to lose. Tony retorts that he doesn’t have anything left to lose either and invites Jack to pull the trigger, but Jack is unable to go through with it. Janis, however, manages to recover data from the damaged handheld and identifies the target. Jack and Jibraan work together to secure the canister before the dispersal mechanism detonates, and Washington is saved. Shortly thereafter, Fake Lawyer calls Jack and shows him video footage of Kim, who is being stalked by two of her henchmen at the airport, and informs him that if he wants his daughter to live, he will help Tony escape from custody. Tony shoots Jack a knowing glare, as Jack locks eyes with him.
Golden Almeida Dialogue
Jack: Why did you betray me? Why? [no response. Jack pulls out his gun and shoves it against Tony's forehead] I have nothing left to lose. You either tell me where that canister is or so help me God, I will lay you down right here right now.
Tony: You think I’ve got anything left to lose, Jack? Do it.
Episode 23: 6AM-7AM
Jack successfully breaks Tony out of custody, but not before Tony allows him to give Walker just enough information to help Kim. Fake Lawyer meets up with the hijacked van, and Tony convinces her they still have one last play with her bosses — deliver them Jack Bauer to extract the pathogen from his blood and rebuild the bioweapon. Tony and Fake Lawyer take Jack to a warehouse, where a team of doctors await them. The doctors strap Jack down and shove needles into his spine while Tony takes Fake Lawyer aside and tells her that he feels has has earned a promotion within her organization. Fake Lawyer contacts the head of The Group, Alan Wilson, and pleads Tony’s case. Wilson agrees to meet with Tony in person at the warehouse. Meanwhile, Kim escapes Fake Lawyer’s henchmen at the airport and retrieves their laptop, giving Walker and the FBI a lead on finding Jack. Jack manages to escape from the warehouse on foot by killing the evil doctors with their own scalpels, and Tony gives chase.
Episode 24: 7AM-8AM
Jack breaks into a storage unit for parked taxis near the warehouse, but before he can hotwire one up, Tony finds him and busts in shooting, putting a hole in one of the cab’s gas tank. Jack uses the automatic door control to close the door, and Tony rolls out of the way just in time. He uses a forklift to force the door back open. Jack almost kills both of them by firing a flare gun into the pool of gasoline on the floor, but Tony knocks the flare away in the nick of time and easily overpowers Jack, dragging him back to Fake Lawyer’s lair and handcuffing him to a chain link fence. Jack rants about how no motive, past injustices or ideology in the world could possibly justify the things Tony has done. Jack begs Tony to let him die in peace and not to let the people he works for use him to kill innocents. Tony explains that his intention was never to use Jack as the pathogen, but instead to create an exposure point for Alan Wilson, who Tony claims was the mastermind behind Michelle’s murder and the Day 5 Conspiracy. He goes on that all he wants is to kill Wilson and exact vengeance for Michelle’s death. Jack tries to convince Tony that Michelle would hate him for what he’s done in her name, but Tony has made up his mind. He rigs Jack with explosives that he plans to detonate using his cell phone as a transponder once Jack gets close enough to Wilson. Wilson arrives at the warehouse and Tony goes outside to meet him. Wilson’s flunkies bring Jack out, but before Tony can blow the bomb, the FBI swoops in, having tracked them down using the laptop Kim recovered at the airport. Jack spots Tony follow Wilson and Fake Lawyer inside a nearby building during the shootout. Inside the building, Tony coldly puts a slug into Fake Lawyer as she is embracing him in relief, and confronts Wilson. He talks of how he and Michelle had made out of this life together, and that Wilson took all that away from him. When Wilson denies knowing anything about Michelle’s murder, Tony beats him to the ground. Then he drops the bomb — Michelle was pregnant when she died and Wilson also killed his son. Tony is about to shoot Wilson in the head when Jack and Walker bust in, and Walker shoots Tony in the hand. Tony drops his gun as FBI agents jump in and throw handcuffs on him. Tony is hauled away spouting off about how Jack has become “one of them”.
