Here is just a sample of the passionate words from fans around the globe appearing on our web petition to bring Tony back to Season 8. Once again, if you haven’t put your two cents in yet, you can do so here.
Kat:
As a contributor to AlmeidaIsGod.com, I’d like to voice my passionate plea for Tony’s return at the end of the season this year. There is no substitute, Tony brings grit, humanity, darkness and tension to the screen, and gives Jack’s character the foil it needs to remain riveting and relevant. Don’t make the mistake of leaving Tony out of this!
Avery:
Tony of all characters deserves a better end than being carted off to prison once more. Give the fans what they want. Bring back Almeida!
DizMizLiz:
Tony Almeida NEEDS to be in Day 8! Give his character closure! He gets thrown in prison for his crimes? That’s it? That’s how it ends for him? It would just feel so unresolved… If Day 8 is in fact the final season, what would be better than Jack Bauer vs Tony Almeida!? What an epic showdown that would be!? Go out with a bang!
Cee:
The producers and writers went through all the trouble of bringing him back in season 7, just to let Tony rot in prison for the rest of his life? The show can not end without closure for Tony. It just can’t. Tony is a very important character that has been on the show since day 1, literally. Tony needs redemption and closure. It would be a terrible mistake not to bring him back for season 8, especially if it is the last season. Bring Tony back. You don’t want another season 6, do you?

The passionate reactions to season 7 by the fans showed the importance of Tony in 24. Take a hint!
Mary:
It’s not 24 without Tony Almeida– and Jack isn’t Jack without the one who knows him best.
Name Withheld By Request:
Give the character and actor what they deserve – a better ending and some kind of redemption in Day 8. It’s plain wrong to leave him out and frustrating for the long term fans.
Ben:
I would LOVE to see him back. Lets give him a proper send off. He is just so colossal as a character.
Ryan:
Tony Almeida deserves redemption! He was one of the main reasons why season 7 was so great. He has a MASSIVE fanbase and not bringing him back could deal a huge blow to ratings and to fan reception. If you could bring him back from the dead as well as bring Logan back, than you can bring Tony back again in Season 8.
Mike:
Tony is by far the best character on 24 and his relationship with Jack is the most intriguing one in the show’s history. It’s no coincidence that the one season he was not in (6) was considered by most fans to be the worst of the series.
Dara:
Bring back Carlos Bernard. He’s a phenomenal actor & vital aspect to the show.
TJ:
Please bring back Tony Almeida for season 8. His and Jack’s relationship is a big reason I watch the show. Carlos and Kiefer work so well together and I believe the absence of Tony in season 6 is why it didn’t measure up to past seasons, and then his return in season 7 really made it great. So please bring back Tony for season 8, it’s not too late!! Please, us fans want Tony!!
Daniele:
I LOVE TONY. And I want him back. Because 24 without him, it’s not 24. Jack needs him. I NEED HIM. So, PLEASE, don’t do that to me and to all the fans! TONY ALMEIDA IN SEASON 8 NOW!
KHP:
No Tony in Season 8 ?? C’mon, this is insane!

The Jack and Tony chemistry is good. It would be nice for Tony to have a chance to redeem himself after the way he deceived everyone and betrayed Jack in Season 7.

Kinda off-topic, but just one ickle question, Kasia.
On that picture that says “Bring Tony back for season 8″, why is there the World Trade Center in the background? O.o I just noticed it. Couldn’t find a better pic of the New York skyline? lol
My apologies if that seemed in poor taste. I put the banner together really quickly and just grabbed a random NYC skyline photo that looked good on first glance. After the banner was done I realized the towers were pretty prominent in the pic, but it was too late to change it cuz I had discarded the photoshop source file, so I just left it in. There was no intentional insensitivity intended.
