pbs.org has today’s Carlos Bernard Tavis Smiley appearance up on their website already! Nice job, PBS! The interview is fairly straightforward. It does not go into great depth regarding Tony’s arc in Season 7, but focuses more on the obvious questions (did you know Tony wasn’t really dead, etc.) and on Carlos Bernard’s perspective as an actor on 24 in a more general context. Carlos seems very laid back and in good humour (though he usually does anyway), smiling and joking a lot. It appears as though he is now growing his hair out a bit after the close-cropped lid he’d been sporting while Season 7 was shooting. He’s shaven off the Soul Patch Plus 5 o’clock shadow, but the original soul patch is still thriving. I had previously been under the impression that the soul patch was strictly a Tony Almeida thing, and that Carlos personally doesn’t care for wearing it. However, perhaps the soul patch is (forgive the terrible pun) growing on Carlos!
